Dawn Beggs, School Director
I have an Associates of Arts with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with preschool aged children for the last 26 years. When I wasn't too busy being a full-time mom, I was a preschool teacher, a director of preschool ministry at a large church, and a preschool special education paraprofessional in a Kansas elementary school.
I love children! I believe in creating an encouraging and positive environment of unconditional love and trust in a place where they can feel safe, so they can learn effectively. My goal is to encourage the children to be creative! I believe children learn best through play that engages them in their natural curiosity, forcing them to make choices and take risks while they learn and have fun.
Ashley Harbaugh, Assistant Director
I have been with Phoenix Children’s Academy since 2013. Education has always been a passion of mine. I attended Northern Arizona University for Primary Education and Special Education. I am also currently working on my Child Development Associates. I have gone through our Leadership Training Program. In my spare time, I love to spend all my time with my son, crafting, antique shopping, or taking trips.

I enjoy spending my days with my kiddos and watching them grow into big preschoolers. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog Ozzie. I am also excited to be a new grandma.
Laura Mattheis, Baby Whisperer
I have worked in early childhood education for over 8 years and have found my calling in the infant room. I am working toward my degree in Educational Studies. When I am not at PCA, I enjoy spending time with my son, daughter, and granddaughter. My favorite childhood memory is climbing trees in my backyard and going four wheeling in the desert with my parents.
